Turbocharger Troubleshooting Issue on 6.5L Diesel

I have a puzzler for you folks. When our ‘98 crew cab lost its power, the dealer in our town diagnosed it as having a failed turbocharger. He replaced the turbocharger and everything was fine for three days and then the problem was back. This time around he replaced the turbocharger control valve and it ran fine for two months. We think that was all that was really wrong in the first place, but too late now. Now, it is up to its old trick again and it makes a weird hissing sound, as well. I called the service manager who told me to look for a blown intake manifold gasket. I see no issues, but really don’t know much about this sort of thing and hate to take it back in to them. Can you offer any advice with so little to go on? Trevor K.
